Hemp and lime is used at the Green Light Trust for the entire building envelope, locking up carbon in the cellulose and allowing us to build with a better than zero carbon footprint. If we switched to natural materials like this for new houses, we could deliver massive savings in carbon emissions and actually meet our obligations for 20% reductions by 2020
