Wood pellets
We burn wood pellets on our boiler and have reduced our carbon footprint as a result. Wood is a zero carbon heat source. The carbon which is locked up in the cellulose is released when the pellets burn, and the following spring the regrowth reabsorbs the carbon dioxide that was given off.
Wood pellets are made from sawdust which would otherwise be landfilled.
